Amplifying voices of youth, women, indigenous communities, and civil society for just transitions.
The Climate Action Summit 2025 is hosted by the Kenya School of Government (KSG) in collaboration with Expo Events Services, with strategic leadership from the Nairobi Rivers Commission and the Office of the Special Presidential Envoy for Climate Action.
The Summit represents a decisive step to transform ambitious climate policies into tangible results, bridging the persistent gap between commitment and implementation. Building on Kenya’s continental leadership—including its 90% renewable energy grid, pioneering devolved climate finance through programs like FLLoCA, and the Nairobi Declaration’s call for actionable solutions—the Summit will convene national and county governments, private sector innovators, and global partners to institutionalize climate governance.
Focused on locally led adaptation, green investment, and intergovernmental accountability, the event will deliver concrete outcomes: a Climate Implementation Charter to align county and national efforts, a pipeline of investable projects, and a Climate Action Delivery Unit to track progress.
By scaling proven models like the Nairobi River Regeneration Project and embedding accountability mechanisms, the Summit aims to position Kenya as Africa’s blueprint for translating climate ambition into measurable resilience and equitable growth—setting the stage for global reporting at COP30 and implementation leadership by COP31.
The Climate Action Summit 2025 envisions a future where Kenya's climate governance frameworks deliver transformative, inclusive, and measurable results—bridging the gap between policy and action through multi-sectoral collaboration and innovation. This Summit will establish Kenya as Africa's model for translating climate ambition into resilient, equitable, and low-carbon development through locally led solutions.
